Ok...I'll try to fix it.

I can do that of course but I'm lazy... That's why I created only one ini file for saving settings.

max bitrate was still 320!!! If i repeat the encode without changing anything (still 192) It uses always 320, even if i cloose belight and open it again and choose 192, 320 is used.

BTW, maybe a choose list for the bitrate could be useful because in manu encoders you cannot choose any value.

thanks for your tool!!!

Looks like the LAME bitrate requests are being ignored. I have the same problem using the --alt abr preset here.

Re truncated lines of text in advanced settings window, please give me an email address so I can send you a screen capture. To be honest, I tried to attach it to this message but it didn't work. Same with insterting image... it asks for a web address and I have the image locally.

Auto DVD2AVI Delay Detection

BeSweet has that DVD2AVI check box that automatically detects the ms delay in a DVD2AVI audio extracted files. It's a minor thing but would be really nice if you also had it.

example original file name:

1992_Dep AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY -32ms.ac3

besweet automatically adds to the command line: -ota( -d -32 )

it would be nice to have in BeLight

Hi,

very nice work.

I have a problem getting mp2 on 192. Every Time i want to create a mp2 File on 192 (for DVD) an 48 khz i get files with vbr 300 and up (like vbr extreme). MP3 works fine.

This happens with toolame and mp2enc and i have no ideo why ?

Did anyone knows why this happens??

Thx for help

Penny

Yeah, I noticed this too. You must know that VBR mode is only useful on files with 44,1 KHz Sampling Rate. Use CBR Mode. It's more safer.

@All :: I'll try to post a new release tonight but I've a lake of free time. Stay tuned.

Size issues again

Hi --

Looks like you're making good progress on the interface. Lots of improvements. I notice the text on the advanced options box is all readable now

On main screen, however, it's gotten even more truncated at the bottom when viewing at 1024x768 resolution -- the entire start button and everything below is now cut off.

Regards,

Winsome Pix

Found the new version this a.m. Nice work!

Sort of a funny thing, though. I would think the whole point of calling it "BeLight" is that it is somewhat simplified. You starting adding in everyone's requests and it becomes more and more complex ... pretty soon it looks just like other, less streamlined GUIs .

But seriously, it looks a lot nicer than BeSweet GUI. And the ability to edit, copy, and paste the command line alone makes it superior to the aforementioned GUI.

Thanks,

-abs

I think so too. You should first fix the bugs before implementing new functions.
I dont't know if these bugs are known:
-Settings arent't saved correctly (I don't know if this is true, but if I check Delay and save the settings, next time I load the settings and "Delay" isn't checked. Same for "normalize" e.g.). It isn't stored in the settings.ini, but I can edit it maually.
-Language isn't saved
-Command line only shows chosen parameters if I choose them _after_ clicking "View & edit command line", however parameters will be correctly delivered to besweet.exe.
-German language issues:
.Settings->Load: Laden
.Settings->Save: Speichern
.Advanced Settings: Log file: Box too small for the words "Logdatei erstellen"

@kurtnoise

I have a suggestion for you.

It would be better to split the "advanced settings" section.
The lame section should be placed in the "MP3" tab as an advanced section --->button
The azid section should be placed in the "AC3" tab as an advanced section --->button

The other sections "Soundtouch, Partial Encodings, External Plugins and others" should remain where they are.

Is this a good idea ?
