Video recording artifacts
Hello!
I have a miniDV file with some video artifacts and sound crackle. I got it becouse of recording problems of my camera. Could you recommend me any software, filters for VirtualDub or scripts for Avisynth or Vapoursynth to clean video or audio or both? Thanks in advance! Video sample: https://yadi.sk/i/-YA9ou0r3soEQg |

I suggest multiple captures in the hope that dirt might move,
then swapping out defective frames. If you got them, change camcorders for playback. Then physical cleaning of heads, tape guides. Cleaning of tape (wary!!! but I did try that too). And if these block faults come out stationary, these will need framewise manual cleaning in Photoshop, I guess. RemoveDirtMC won't work without harm. You may still try if the result suits you.

If you got blocking, then the errors are so great they can't be corrected.
Do what you have been told - clean, change, recapture, clean, change, recapture ... Since MiniDV went quickly out of grace, there are (were?) millions of them on sale.
