Sure, that is a valid topic of discussion here.

Thank you neuron2

My problem is with Winff in particular when i try to encode to xvid avi I get this error mid way through the encoding process

""video:1953494kB
audio:0kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead -100.000000%
*** glibc detected *** /usr/bin/avconv: corrupted double-linked list:
0x09896a80 *** "

This appeared to only start after upgrading to Mint Maya 13 prior to that winff was bullit proof, also this only happens if i choose 2 pass, I posted this problem to the official Winff forums and was advised to report it as a bug to the Mint developers which I've done but it could take long enough to get it sorted so i was wondering if anyone on here has heard of this error (because I seem to be the only one who's experiencing this) and if possible how it may be solved.

Any help would be much appreciated

many thanks

Graeme
