Video Attributes wrongly authored by ifoedit?
Hello,
i tried ifoedit 0.9.5 to author a DVD with one of my home videos (PAL, 25fps, 720x576, 4:3) encoded with TMPG. The process worked fine. Then I watched the DVD with PowerDVD and saw that the movie has an incorrect aspect ratio (about 720x480). Also the screenshot function of PowerDVD gives pictures of size 640x480. So I tried a rip of a commercial PAL 4:3 DVD and PowerDVD showed the correct aspect ratio and screenshots are 768x576. Confusing for me. So I compared the IFO files of the two DVDs. I discovered that ifoedit sets the video attributes in all the ifo files to 0x5320 and this value is 0x5300 on the commercial DVD. After setting all video atribute paramters to 0x5300, my DVD worked perfect with PowerDVD. All souces I've found on the web state this bit in the video attributes as unknown. Any ideas? Maybe some problems with standalone players can be solved by setting this bit to zero. Regards, Peter |
