XviD 1.4-127 Alpha?
Main features of Xvid 1.4:
- MPEG-4 Video Codec library - Optimized for highest picture quality and archival purposes - SP/ASP de-/encoding support - Open-source software released under GPL license - Primary platform PC (Windows and Linux) - High-performance due to extensive assembly optimizations Important Notes: - Jawor's stable builds are built on 24.06.2011 while the unstable builds are built on 13.07.2011. - Jawor's patched build includes Xvid EncRaw while x86 & x64 version and x64 version have a 64-bit DirectShow decoder. Only just noticed that an alpha build of xvid 1.4 was released over 1yr ago here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/xvid_codec.htm are people still developing xvid? The scene has switched to x264 for tv shows now so the amount of xvid content on the internet has reduced a lot but a higher quality version would still be nice. |

The page has completely been closed down and Xvid has gone into one of those quiet phases again. Not unusual part of its evolution so to speak!
I've moved onto H264 in Vidcoder. Only ever do the very rare Xvid encoding with a Staxrip old version 1.1.8.0 or reliable AutoGK now. |
