sorry for replying so late , actually i got busy and just couldnt do anything at all. just this morning started to look into pending hobby work anyways , i am gonna try the HE 128kbps this time and see how this goes , there is one more problem that i always face whenever i try and encode any Audio file , more often than not nero HE aac profiles give me a very very low volume of the output audio, Its annoying coz every time i encode something for my iTouch i have to increase the volume by default in the video settings , face the same issue all over as well. what chaages can i do to have a decent volume level in the audio at tyhe moment i use 64 kb/s levels for my audio with Directshow downmix multi to stereo sample rate : keep original apply dynamic range compression and normalize peaks to 100 HEAAC profile |

If you use DRC and Normalize 100% you can't have more volume without distort.

Strange Problem with Queue, n-pass encoding.
Hello friend's
i got some strange problems with megui lately. Evertime i have more than one encode in the queue, it fails after the first encode. example: automated 2 pass encode. First pass runs through correctly. 2nd pass is extremly slow (0.0005 fps, CPU Load 1%). After i cancel this slow 2nd pass and start it again, it runs fine. ~10fps, 90% - 100% CPU Load). No PC restarts or megui reload. It just runs fine. 2nd example: 2 x automated 2pass. 1st (first movie) runs fine--> 2nd (first movie) runs extremly slow -> CANCEL -> 2nd (first movie) runs fine --> 1st (second movie) runs extremly slow -> CANCEL -> 1st (second movie) runs fine -> 2nd (second movie) runs extremely slow -> CANCEL -> 2nd (second movie) runs fine.... This goes on and on. After one pass runs fine, the following runs extremly slow, no matter if this following is first or 2nd pass. If the following is canceled it runs fine, but the pass after that runs slow. I deactivated x264_64 but its the same Problem. Doesnt matter if the x264.exe is x86 or x64. I got some Logs here: Quote:

Thanks for providing a sample file. I can reproduce the problem with your source. The source file seems to be broken (or at least unsupported by ffms). I have remuxed the file with AVIMuxGui (MkvMerge is also working - both are in the tools folder of MeGUI) and the resulting file can be processed.

can i ask about running 2 jobs at once with MeGUI
for instance if i had 2 HD X264 files that i wanted to convert to smaller SD XviD files would there be ANY quality loss running the 2 xvid.encraw.exe processes on a very fast capable PC? i know its very capable of doing it and ive done it plenty of times but is there a chance i could get even a small loss in quality? thanks Last edited by bazz; 25th May 2012 at 08:51. |

The fact that two jobs run in parallel will not harm their quality. The processes are separated.
There is only a risk if you have plugins in both scripts which use shared ressources, e.g. both using a GPU video decoder like DGDecNV. Even if context switching works reliable, it may be quite inefficient to have the decoder chip switch between different video sources at each frame. Last edited by LigH; 25th May 2012 at 11:40. |

FFAudioSource fails if the source is not perfect. Try with other free tools: Foobar2000, BeHappy-BassAudio or command line decoder/encoder (from http://www.rarewares.org/ ) faad -b 2 -w "input.aac" | Lame -b 128 - "output.mp3"

ok thank i try this
EDIt: i find a solution, i replace FFMS2.avsi, ffms2.dll, ffmsindex.exe by those in ffms2-r624.7z and the errior disapear so it's seems it's the update of ffms who give me the error. Last edited by vergil666; 27th May 2012 at 10:46. |

Maybe your player don't support AAC-HE.

I had a problem with the latest FFMS as well. After updating, and indexing the movie using ffms, I almost completely lost the ability to use the preview window for cuts and zones. Trying to go through the movies would look like it locked up because it would stop updating the frame positioning. When I closed the window, I got an error message saying something about trying to read protected memory or something about corrupt memory (can't remember the exact message). Also, when it did update to the correct frame, it was extremely sluggish. This was happening on all movies I tried since updating. Also, once I had my cuts in place and encoded the movies, half the movie was a single frame. The movie just could not encode right. I went into the tools directory and restored the previous backups for all the FFMS files and got rid of the new version. Now everything is right as rain. Response is fast and updates position correctly, and no more errors. It even seems to index the movies quicker. I think this ffms release needs to be pulled because it looks like something got broken. Last edited by Hotpocketdeath; 29th May 2012 at 00:03. |

Put the time when you listen the popping sound. What do you expect when convert a DTS 5.1 1509 Kb/s to a AAC-HE 49 Kb/s? EDIT: See the differences between source, your encode and a encode to AAC VBR q=0.35 Automatic (average bitrate 81 Kb/s)

VCOMP100.DLL was not found
I've been using MeGUI 2112 (svn) without problems on Windows XP x64 SP2. Suddenly today I get the following error when I open a typical .avs file:
I click "OK" in that window and the video preview window comes up normally. I then dismiss that and set up an automatic encode then I get this: I click for more information and I get this: I click again for more information and I get this (I can paste some of the contents if it helps): I tried "re-installing" MeGUI as advised, with new downloads, but it doesn't help. There are few references to VCOMP100.DLL on the net. There is talk of having to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, but I didn't have that before so I don't see why I should need it now. In addition XP x64 does not appear on the list of supported operating systems for it. I do have the 2005 and 2008 versions installed. I don't know what has caused this. The only possibility I can think of is that today my AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition did a "summer update" to version 2012.0.2178. Any ideas? |

@Taurus - Thanks. Yes, I tried lots of different source files and scripts. I got hold of the zip file version of VCOMP100.DLL from here and that got me past the first error message but it still failed at the next hurdle. Also tried uninstalling AVG. Also attempted a system restore from before the AVG update, which it wouldn't do. And now that VCOMP100.DLL has disappeared from my C:\ again. The only other thing I've changed since the last time I used MeGUI is my NVIDIA display driver. I'm very close to installing a TrueImage C:\ image from February.
