WinDV audio bitrate issue
I've been wanting to use WinDV for the fact that I can transfer my miniDV tape to AVI files of a specified size (I wanted to make 1.6-2.0GB files).
Currently, I transfer the video using Sony Vegas 5.0, then split the one large file into smaller ones using VirtualDub. This process works fine, but takes time. WinDV has the capability to do this in one shot, but I've noticed that my first file is always captured with 1024kbps audio bitrate and all the rest (the other 7 files) is captured with a 1536kbps bitrate. (Just as an FYI, Sony Vegas also captures the file with a 1536kbps bitrate). Has anyone else noticed this? Additionally, I figured "Who cares" until I tried playing the file...For whatever reason, there is no audio only for the file with a 1024kbps audio rate. |

Well, I found out how to create multiple clips using Sony Vegas 5. I've heard good things about WinDV and its such a small file (not a memory hog or anything), but since Sony Vegas works fine for me now that I know about how to create multiple files, I'll just stick with Sony Vegas...
