I think DSCALER is the most optimal software for watching TV on your computer with SAA an BT based TV-cards.
It provides advanced deinterlacing technics as well as denoising and other filters. As an addtional feature you may use the videotext or closed captions.

If you like minimalist software (and are not scared of the french) you should try PouchinTV http://pouchinteve.free.fr/PouchinTV_0.3a.rar . It is also the fastest at changing channels this side of a real tv

I didn't know that about dscaler, I'll try that. As for pouchintv, it works for me at home (where I have a Hauppauge HVR-1100) but it exits on my laptop (because I don't have any DVB-T receiver, or Tuner/recepteur TNT as it calls them).
