Hi mrazzido , thank you for the tip and the tool.
Will try it later ,i've got my BD-Burner just yesterday.
I noticed that a movie who is enforcing the region code does this only
together with a Softwareplayer. When the key is aviable
on the internet you can decrypt A and B enforced titels
without to change the region setting on the drive.
I did backup Terminator 2 , The Fifth Element and Lord of Wars.
BackupBluRay did need 4 hours for one movie. Is this usual
or is something wrong with my settings?

i read the BD disk with DVDDECRYPTER "only read iso" to my hd (30-40mins) faster than with bblueray tool ,then mounted the CRYPTED movie with DM TOOLS , then use backupblueray with your virtual drive . backup 1200seconds for one movie.

I got a problem.

there are three blu-ray titles have ths same hash code of CPSUnit00001.cci, but CPS Unit Key were different.

They are

Code:

I guess it will require that for BD disk, that we use a different file / method to ID the disk. Taking the disk title and adding it to the sha1 might be a good idea...

Are the "MAC of PMSN" also the same for all discs?
It has been suggested using "MAC of PMSN" instead of SHA-1 for Blu-Ray since this would avoid any need of hash calculations in the software:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...339#post941339

And likewise for HD DVD the "TKF MAC" should be used instead of SHA-1.

Have muslix and janvitos "left the building" - I don't see much going on these days to finish BackupBluray? (scratches head).

Without Volume Unique Key, isn't this tool just a curiosity piece but will never go far?

Sorry if I sound like a grinch I had just thought it would have been dusted now...

Almost all your posts do sound this way.

Plus, their whereabouts is not for you to enquire about. What business of yours is it? They are private people, as we all are. Learn to respect that. As well, they owe you nothing!

I truly think you need to revise the way you post here.

I agree about the players, The samsung doesn't play the file structure on writable discs. But have no problems with ripping the discs

I compared Region A + B enforced BluRay movies and
Region free movies.I watched the index.bdmv files with Winhex.
In enforced movies the 1. line is 49 4E 44 58 30 32 30 30..
In regionfree movies it's 49 4E 44 58 30 31 30 30..
When the original index.bdmv file of XMen3 is deleted and
a index.bdmv file of a codefree movie is inserted ,the message
this is a region A movie doesen't show up and some menues
and trailers start playing.Of course it's not working correctly
because the file is from another movie.
So i modified the first line of the original file to 31 but when i
tried to play the structur the message about region A , can't
play on this player appears. There is the same 31 , 32 pattern
in MovieObject.bdmv , .clpi and .mpls files.
Maybe it must be changed everywhere.
Any other ideas?

The fact that replacing that one file got it working tells us that no other files need changing. There are probably other places in that file, or possibly a checksum, that need to be adjusted as well. After changing that one byte, does it still play in whatever region it's supposed to play in?

Hey!!

i think there is a checksum check or anything.

i compare some movie´s

Ice Age II Eur/Ger

Ice Age II Us

Monster House Ger/Eur

Monster and Ice age ii (eur) are region B movies.

i see that all Region B movies has 02 XX 40

and Region A has 01 XX 40

, Region free 00 XX 40

i play something with winhex and changed the bytes in the index.bdmv the movie doenst play then anymore in windvd. :-/ .

If i change from 32 to 31 in the first line ,the movie plays
fine when the correct region is set in PWDVD 7.2 Ultra.
I don't have a BluRay drive connected to this PC,but
nevertheless i can change BluRay regions 5 times.
Then i have to uninstall/install PWDVD to have 5 changes again.
When i change the first values in the fifth line ,PWDVD also
can't play the structur anymore.
Question to mrazzido:Can you copy the index.bdmv and
MovieObject.bdmv from Ice Age2 US and paste them in the
EU version? Then something should be playable with region set
to A.

(thx pepsilee2001) :-).

eur. MovieObject.bdmv file size ist over 100kb
us. MovieObject.bdmv file size under 20kb :-/

i have this movie in eur version , the furgitve , monster house , kingdom of the heaven , full metal jacket, ice age II.

if any one have other region of this movie´s make a rar file with all files inside the BDMV directory (without stream files) .-(. and contact me for email adress.

Thank's for testing,i see, it doesen't matter if it's the same
movie or a different one.I tried 4 different Codefree bdmv sets
with A enforced XMen3 with region set to B.Once the trailer was playing,
with an other bdmv file only the menue loop or a alternate
scene. When i use the XMen bdmv with EU version of B forced
Kingdom of Heaven,it plays the second half of the movie when
region set to A.
So the only way would be if we find out how to modify the
bdmv file correctly.

It's funny to see how HD and BD are now fully backupable, yet the size really makes this "process slow in many ways"

The studios should have pushed for 100 or more GB discs, better quality, less downloads.... i think the number of people downloading this would really have been very very low.

Spending all that AACS money on bigger discs would have been a better choise.... i think

bob0r, bigger size wont result in higher bitrates! it just means you can fit more video on a single disk e.g the office u.s s02 might be able to fit on 1 * 100GB blue-ray disc instead of several discs. the size increase would mainly be beneficial for pc use (backing up 100gb worth of data). as blue-ray and hd-dvd allow for about 3.5hrs ISH of video, films arent really over 3.5hrs.
