Windows media center subtitles

Hi everyone,
I have been using windows media center with Mediabrowser for my ripped movie collection. Till now i have been using external player ( mpc home cinema) for viewing it along with .srt subs). But i want to view them with subtitles on the internal media player. But it does not display subs. I've googled for hours but the thing is, I have CoreAVC and i prefer it over FFDSHOW (for smoother playback and also MEGUI encoding) and most solutions require ffdshow or codec packs which i dont want to experiment with. So, without them will i be able to somehow make the subtitles show up in the internal player of WMC?
Also i've heard that sharktooth's codec pack is the best solution, but will it function properly alongside CoreAVC?
Thanks in advance.

Try VSFilter.dll . It'll kill your DXVA (GPU acceleration), though. There's no way around that in WMP12, I've looked.
