After I type something it crashes for me (Win10)

EDIT:
Ahh, everything must be already installed on my system. I missed that.

It seems to be a UWP app, funny enough I recently uninstalled windows 10 and replaced it with windows server 2019 just to get rid of UWP ;p

It's not a UWP app, just a regular .net wpf (ok .net 5 is new) app. What's wrong with uwp apps?

nothing technical wrong with UWP, it's more of a taste/esthetics/preference thing. ever since win8, namely the worst windows ever, the windows user interface has been divided into 2 "genres", the traditional win32 and the tablet-like nonsense (metro in win8 now UWP in win10), and the two literally simultaneously exist in the same OS... the inconsistency really bugs me, just fvckin' pick one and ditch the other dammit! with the server version of windows, all UWP nonsense is removed so at least I don't have to put up with the inconsistency.

Yeah win8 always looked like a prototype to me and the uwp api could not really compete with win32. I think the "pure uwp" apps are basically dead now anyway.

Yes, it's .NET 5 and WPF, runs on antiquated Win7.

also win8 and win10 are just fugly, the flat design is supposed to look pretty in a "low key" and "concise" way. win8 and win10 are just shabby like a windows 3.0 contemporary. I'd rather have the vista/win7 aero theme back, it looks a bit dated but at least it looks pretty.

edit: plus the aero theme provides a system wide consistent visual experience in vista/win7, which is more valuable than anything that win8 or win10 has to offer.

@feisty2

Maybe create a Win UI sucks thread (which I can ignore then as well...).

- Everything.dll x64 added.
- ESC key closes the app.
- Up key restores the search text from the last session.
- Right-click opens the files native shell context menu.
- F1 key shows the About dialog.
