CCE Guide...Confused
So I thought I would look at the CCE guides....in particular interlaced NTSC stuff, which I have.
So I looked at the CCE FAQ at: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53770 and the CCE Basic Guide at: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ccebasic27.htm Now the FAQ says regarding the Upper Field First options: Quote:

There is a difference between "Upper Field First" and "Output top field first stream"
Since CCE 2.7 SP (Basic 2.69) is capable of TFF and BFF output. Prior versions can only output TFF, therefore any BFF stream has to be shifted up one line by checking "Upper Field First" (Fieldorder is changed from BFF in input stream to TFF in output stream). The "Upper Field First" option has been renamed in 2.67 and later to "Offset line". "Output top field first stream" is responsible if the output is TFF or BFF. If you have BFF input and want to have BFF output (only possible with 2.70SP and later respectively Basic 2.69 and later) you have to uncheck "Output top field first stream" and set "offset line" to 0. In prior versions you cant have BFF output therefore you have (for BFF input) to check "Upper Field First" or in 2.67SP set "offset line" to 1. |
