mov to mkv and auto reduction in file size
I download a lot of videos from the site gametrailers.com and they have recently switched all quicktime videos to use avc as codec.Now mpc has problems playing mov files directly so I use mkvmerge to remux the mov files into mkv files.Now the thing is after muxing the files resulting files are almost half the size of mov files.I am just curious to know why it happens.
Btw remuxed files play just fine. |
