I have a problem with v.1.9.3, when I select any of my divx tv episodes to convert them into mp4 (iphone ipod profile) the audio string is void and the audio profile string says: "0.0 NO AUDIO". I tried to convert a file anyway and as I suspected there was no audio.
Reverted back to 1.9.2 and everything is fine. I just noticed the same thing happens with ripbot 1.9.3 to all my divx files (movies and tv episodes), while it happens on 1.9.2 only with Divx with Ac3 audio. Is this a pc related problem or ripbot problem? my rig: win xp pro Sp3 Asus P5Wdh Dlx E6600 @ 3,2Ghz 4Gb Ram 8800 GT 512Mb 2x 500Gb HDD and so on Last edited by arrarro; 7th May 2008 at 18:52. |

hi,
i just tested your app for the first time, 1.9.3 simple extract from 7z file i'm a Megui user but i'm looking for a good powerful Gui but simple enough so i can recommand it to other people. ripbot looks great. i just opened one of my hdv clips, applied deinterlace, film denoise and encoded (2 pass). the preview looked great but the encode failed during the 2nd pass (but doesn't report the error) i looked at the log, it says this : x264 [error]: failed to rename "C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\job1.stats.temp" to "C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\job1.stats" Could it be because my default temp folder is located on an other drive ? Later i installed the 1.9.2 version from installer and it worked (without the denoiser, obviously) i also didn't find the way to tell ripbot that i wanted my output to be anamorphic (hdv is 1440x1080i anamorphic 16:9, i'd like to keep the ratio without resizing) i hope the feedback helps making your little software better Last edited by BlackSharkfr; 7th May 2008 at 23:29. |

I gave it a try and I did different tests. there is still something not working properly, I think.
Now the audio section of most of my divx movies and tv episodes is correctly processed but it takes a loooooot of time (well at least compared to previous ripbot versions!). After adding a divx file ripbot says: PLEASE WAIT DEMUXING AUDIO STREAMS... This takes about 30 seconds to complete sometimes and in some cases it does not complete at all and after a long wait a warning window tells me: FILE COULD NOT BE OPENED! (C:\Temp\Ripbot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 4). The same divx file opened with ripbot 264 v1.9.2 works like a charm and audio is processed very quickly. hope this helps and thank you for your efforts and patience Last edited by arrarro; 8th May 2008 at 00:13. |

Atak, greap app, i have been ausent from RipBot and testing tsMuxer but in here i have all the things i need, well, almost!
Two questions: Can i limit the output size of the BluRay image? Can it split the m2ts in 4gb chunks for FAT32? THX |

ok i tested again with 1.9.4 (from installer, overwritten in the same folder) i used the same source (hdv file).
It seems like the denoise filter doesn't work well during the encoding process : with filters : deinterlace and old film denoise result : only 1 image was encoded (the 1st one) and copied over all images. The video is just a single picture with a sound track. tried again with only deinterlace (denoise off) the video is correctly encoded. |

I've been having problems with MeGUI & AVCHD. So i'm moving onto RipBot264.
But i'm running into some problems! I get this error as soon as i run RipBot264 I tried feeding RipBot264 the .m2ts file, but it just crashes for me. Then i tried feeding it this .avs script: Code:
DirectShowSource("F:\BluRay\BDMV\STREAM\00000.m2ts",fps=23.9760431376968,audio=false) trim(69847,70447) crop( 2, 132, -2, -134) Lanczos4Resize(1280,544) I even tried feeding a mpeg-2 vob file, and it still gave me the "floating error" |

most noobs ain't got a clue and most advanced users can edit the .avs file by hand. i am also getting errors with certain input files using v1.9.4. cant extract audio (ac3@384), and same m2ts (mpeg2) error as above. Last edited by ~bT~; 9th May 2008 at 19:20. |

Feature Request
Here are two thing I'd like to request in the next version:
1. Prestige matrix (for grainy sources) 2. OGM-enabled x264 (with option to turn on or off) Also, has anyone else been having trouble with 1.9.4 hanging during encode? |

New or Reinstated Features?
Atak,
version 1.9.2 could accept .sup subtitle files. These are the source / raw subtitle files on HD-DVDs. The newest version 1.9.4 only accepts .srt files. Can you bring back the .sup feature? Also, New Features I would like to see in 1.9.5: Custo
The Prestige and FGO are suggestions based on this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=137117 I normally like to clean up grain, especially since the smoother the image, the better the compression will be, allowing more detail for the same file size. However, on the 5th page, there is an example of a 17Mbps source (300) with a 13Mbps copy, and a 9Mbps copy. The 9Mbps copy used Prestige and FGO, and resulted in a copy that fit on a DVD9 and still maintained the origional look of the film. Honestly, the biggest request I have is for the chapter import, using the chapter list created by eac3to.exe. Please! Please!!!!! |
