ive had my OLED TV for nearly 5 years now, I've decided I want to teach myself how to calibrate and do it on both my TV's, but on the cheap. Whats the cheapest unit I can get new or used that anyone can recommend for an OLED calibration?

i1Display Pro (I think you can buy used one as well if it's not 5 years old, but recent).

No, you have to search for exactly that name.

never heard of that cheap meter. don't cheap out and buy twice.
i1d3 has a lot of correction this cheap one clearly not.
a color munki is an option but is really slow on dark patches.

The reference is the i1 Display Pro as mentioned above. However, the cheaper ColorMunki Display has the same hardware and should produce the same results (verified by comparing results from my i1 Display Pro to a friend's ColorMunki). The only difference is the software included (which doesn't matter as you likely won't use it) and, most importantly, the ColorMunki has been deliberately crippled to be slower at making measurements. Bottom line: if you're impatient, go for the i1 Display Pro. If you're patient, go for the ColorMunki Display.

And by patient we mean hours and hours for a full patch set. Even with an i1Display Pro it takes me 3 to 5 hours to do a full calibration (3500+ patches), I have never used a ColorMunki but slower would be painful!

I need to get me one of these, as well. I'd like to properly calibrate both my C8 and my Panny plasma one of these days. I'll need to save some pennies but it's going on my Christmas list. LOL
