Based on the most recent copy protection that reared its ugly head on "Blade - House of Chthon" and the likely source of that protection (Someone in Italy who sought and received input from posters at another forum as to how to create a copy protection scheme), I'd suggest that it wouldn't be very wise for people who believe they have the right to make backup copies of their purchased DVDs to help someone who wants to create a method of preventing them from doing so!

Just a correction ...
Junior73 posted on this forum (and Doom9's Italian language forum). He did the work himself and did not seek input on how to create his scheme. He posted it for fun only and asked for feedback and whether anyone could break his scheme. Regards

The fact that "Junior73Italy" posted at this forum is in no way a correction (perhaps, an addition) of what I said, as he/she also posted at the Digital Digest Forums. The link to that posting was:
http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...y+protector%22 Unfortunately, as we all know, ALL postings at that forum having anything to do with decrypting have been removed, in response to a series of legal filings and house raids in Australia. Additionally, some of the postings by "Junior73Italy", in the Doom9 Forum threads actually stated that he/she was working for a "DVD production company". Quote:
Regardless of the trivial hairsplitting about where "Junior73Italy" posted, the significant part of my initial post about this remains: I'd suggest that it wouldn't be very wise for people who believe they have the right to make backup copies of their purchased DVDs to help someone who wants to create a method of preventing them from doing so! In a way I can see what you mean setarip, but I have tried searching for this program so I can mess around with it too. I would love to examine the protection it creates and try to learn more about it.
I seem work learn more by trial and error and back tracking. Sadly I cannot find this program. And I do not wish to waste my money on the DVD. |

And again, Junior73 developed his scheme himself. Regards
