Any possibility for a MPEG-2 HDTV-sample clip?
Hi!
Would it be possible to someone offer a small MPEG2 HDTV sample clip, as I would like to see for myself how the transfer from MPEG2 1080i clip is made into XviD/MPEG4 720P clip? Any help would be most appreciated! Yours sincerely, Teko77 |

What kind of system requirements do you need to play these clips? I though they were going to play better than Windows Media 9 at the same resolution, but the actually play worse. Is it the interlacing that eats up the CPU cycles? I played around a little and found out that I got best results when using Media Player classic with the built in mpeg2 decoder and ac3decoder (I use spdif out).
I have a Pentium 4 2.1 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM and 128 MB video memory. The early WMV 9 1080p clips from Microsoft's site plays just fine, just a little lag. But the later clips like the Scooby Doo 2 trailer at the same resolution plays horrible. I don't know what the difference is. Does anyone get these mpeg2 clips to play smoothly and what player do you use? |

I don't know if this is going to be frowned upon by mods, and if it is then I'm sorry. A 30 sec sample clip from felloship of the rings was posted on suprnova.org. It's 720p, and very nice quality indeed (it's the "you shall not pass" bit by the way).
Just search for "720p" and it'll turn up. It's in ts format, and about 50 meg. Sorry if this counts as pirated material, but it's hardly the same as posting full films is it? |

Try suprnova.tk when the .org one isn't working.
Alternatively, goto http://isohunt.com/ and search for 720p |
