Movie Only always between 4,28 and 4,38 GB with IC8

I use IC8 with the option “movie only”, al my movies are between 4,28 and 4,38 GB big.
Attention, this solution works only with “movie only” not with the “whole DVD”.
How?
Open regedt32.exe, HKEY_USERS; S-1-5-21-*******; Software; VOB; CD Wizard; 7.5; Copy
Change “DVDDestDisplaySize” and “DVDDestSize” in 1199 (4505) or 1200 (4608).
“DVDAlwaysEnableOkButton” must be “True”.
The most movies I have don with 1199 (4505), because the most movie are get a little to big with 1200 (4608).
I have don this with different movies, always 1 audio file (DolbyDigitaal), 1 or 2 subtitles and “high quality”.
The % is not important, u can set it on 99,90%.

thanks for the info

there's a great program called Instantcopy Hidden Setting Editor just in case people don't fancy messing in the registry and gives you quite a few extra options too

download ICHSE 1.41

If you make a careful analysis of the IC7 or IC8, you would find that it does not alter the "Menu" part of a DVD. So this is the source of inaccuracy of final destination size for instandcopy.

With careful plan, you may use instantcopy as the final-DVDstripper to strip off the unwanted part other than the menu. I use DVDShrink as the first pass to shrink down the DVD to an appropriate size, say, 4.9GB (retained part 4.37GB + unwanted part 0.53GB), then feed to instantcopy to strip off the unwanted part without further shrinking down the size by re-encoding with IC, just strip off the unwanted part.

I gave up on IC. If the movie is less than 5.0 gigs with all stripped out then I usually use dvd2one. If more I use dvd2svcd. I am actually probably going to be doing all my movies on dvd2svcd now that I am well above the 3.0 encoding in CCE. Averaging around 3.12RT now.
