Some help with HC please?

Can someone please tell me
1. Does HC support resuming encoding after you close it?
2. Where can I find some documentation on it? I don't know all the options I can put in the HC.ini
3. How much faster is it compared to tmpgenc? Does it give same quality and do the resulting files usually work in DVD players?

1) I afraid not.
3) For the second question, the results are almost as a CCE encoded movie.

there should be docs with the exe... it's in a pdf file.

as for quality versus TMPGenc, well there's not much contest really.

version 0.16 with autogop turned off and a sane GOP length (15 max for PAL, 18 max for NTSC, 12 max for NTSC FILM at 23.976) you'll get compliant files. apparently autogop will sometimes (hardly ever) give 3 consecutive b-frames, which is not DVD compliant (but is mpeg-2 compliant).

This is already fixed in the final 016 batch version, max. consecutive B-frames is 2, also if autogop is used.
