My fix...
I reinstalled Win2k and now it works fine... I had a beta of DirectX installed before and it expired and would get error telling me that it had. After a reinstall I installed DX8.1 and forceaspi1.7 and it works now...
Although I got a resulting file that couldn't be played by Windows Media Player... or anything else... with AVI2MPEG I could look at it though... Frame by frame? no play button? Well, that's a different problem.. Anyway, DX was my problem It was in the way of CCE starting... Maybe something is keeping it from accessing CCE? That's my only idea. Sorry I can't be of more help. A quick question.
Did you install the full DVD2SVCD bundle or just each program by itself? If you did each by itself I highly recomend getting the bundle instead. I get the full one each time there is a new release so I can be certain I am current. Your directory structure appears out of the ordinary. There is no Program Files directory just programme. Also you are doing the encode 2 deep in the directory structure and you are using a number as a diretory name. Try raising the directory up a level and removing the number. Give that a shot and see what happens. Mark |

I've installed the full software-bundle.
By the way: Is it a good idea to restart DVD2SVCD with the 'Crash Recorvery'-function ... so I don't need so much time for audio again? FC Last edited by FreakyChip; 14th December 2001 at 11:00. |

@FC
do this: 1) run ccesp; 2) right click in the white field (you will see a button "ADD" - push it); 3) select "all files"; 4) load "AviSynth_Script_file.avs"; 5) file->save as-> choose a name and save. If you can do this with no problem, CCE is ok and probably you are using a wrong CCE path. @markrb "programme" means "program files" in German. If somebody has a windows version in his own language, the windows folders should be named in that language. Don't you think? |

Yes you are right.
I was just questioning the naming convention because I had never seen it. I have never seen a version of Windows other then the US version. Doesn't mean much except I thought it was different and wanted to point it out. If, like you said, thats the way it's suppose to be then it should work fine. Please forgive my ignorance. Mark |

Don't know where the error before, but now it works. Now i use this partition to cretae the MPG's (very good I buyed a 80GB drive :-)). THX for help FC |

THANK YOU Mozart!!
I have been fighting this problem in XP all day. I went into CCE and tried what you said, and it paused for like 10 sec then let me save the .ecl file. When I tried to resume DVD2SVCD it worked properly and created the projectfile.ecl Dont know exactly what happened but that fixed a VERY annoying problem. Once again thx
