credits

I have encoded a couple of moives in divx 5 now. I have used gknot and came very close to my files size of 700mb. I had one movie go over to 714mb. Is there a way to recoded the credits to try and lower the file size? If not how would I go about just cutting the credits off. Any info would be great. I'm still a noob with the encoding.

www.doom9.net -> The Guides -> DivX guides -> DivX5 -> scroll down to Step 5: Splitting and you arrive @ http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_proc....htm#Splitting
since it is a divx5 movie read the procedures about virtualdub
