xvid and xmpeg
First of all, I don't want to argue now about if I should use xmpeg or no, so let's say that I want to use xmpeg.
The questions are simple: does xmpeg work with xvid? does xmpeg work with xvid in 2 pass? do I need to check for "compensate FhG bug" when using the lame acm codec? |

try & see...I have no idea why it shouldn't work except that Xmpeg is unstable, buggy...but maybe someone already has made experiences with this combo!

1. Xmpeg isn't that unstable (at least for me)
2. Xmpeg works great with Xvid 3. u have to first encode the 2pass first and then encode the 2pass second pass, the option of letting Xmpeg do the 2passes only works with DivX4.x (up to now) Cu Selur |

On the contrary,
the 2 pass function is not restricted to any codec or format, I have used the 2 pass function in xmpeg for all codecs that support 2 pass internally. I have always used xmpeg because you dont have to rip the cd. I have used xmpeg for many Xvid rips |

Since it's not based on the FhG codec, no (my audio sync is perfect without this option) |
