Make sure you use the latest MPC-HC and its internal subtitle renderer. EDIT: btw, writing "it doesn't work for me" w/o providing us with the details (player? version? filters involved? player's settings?) is not going to help you... Last edited by Superb; 1st May 2011 at 21:32. |

It seems I only have glitches with D3D11 option... enabled. With D3D11 option disabled I found that I need all the other new tweak options enabled to get less dropped frames (present queue reaches 0 in dynamic scenes). Thats for high bitrate 1080i/29 video. In same time I have zero glitches/drops for low bitrate/resolution video with D3D11 option enabled. So I think D3D11 is a useful feature, I just shouldn't use it for "heavy" video with my little ATI 5450. Sorry for my terrible english, I do my best |

Not sure if this is already known or even cared about but in my search to get sd dvd playback with madvr (thanks madshi for the link earlier) i used the qdvd hack for ripped discs. due to the menu problem on Win7 this did not help with dvd discs, although there are some trying to get a non ms dvd menu system working. however in the meantime using anydvd and selecting 'main movie' gets around this and i can now watch my collection using madvr

Can anyone else with a dual display Nvidia setup confirm that the seekbar appears when they move the mouse cursor to the bottom of both displays please (It should only appear on the playback display when the mouse cursor is on that display only). It did not do it in 0.58.

I've reported the same problem a couple of days ago and madshi said that it's kind of intentional which puzzled me but I decided to leave it for later discussion cause his focus at that moment was on the glitch fix.
Edit: Sorry for the confusion I've just re-read his comment and he actually said that he is aware of the problem and the fix is on his to-do list.

I've just upgraded my GFX card to a nvidia GTS 450 and all my problems with accelerated playback (H.264 and stuffs that I raised in this thread) and rendering glitches with madVR have gone. I don't even need to turn on any glitch hacks. I can even play the girls clip in that other thread which is 1080p/60fps perfectly fine with LAVCUVID. Yatta, I love you guys. The only thing I miss now is screenshot capture in madVR. Patiently waiting .
EDIT: Just played an entire anime music video of One more time, One more chance in 1080p/24fps, only 2 glitches when I went full screen. I'm happy.

Hi madshi, thank you for your excellent work on MadVR. Now I can change to my custom refresh rate at 48hz which mpc-hc can't do. However, the display mode didn't work together with reclock. Lol, it made me wonder for awhile, thinking the changing refresh rate was a hoax. Then I read this http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?...postcount=7564, disabled reclock, and the damn thing started kicking. Can you make it displayer mode changer work with reclock? I know I can't live without it anymore after experienced the smooth and synced playback.
P.S.: The 0.61 version work with reclock but I got performance issue with sutter and out of sync for few milisecond. This problem didn't exist in 0.58 with same settings. Last edited by toomyzoom; 2nd May 2011 at 11:55. |

Madshi. I have been trying out test videoes from this thread.
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=159486 I am unable to playback Birds 1080p60FPS smoothly with MadVR. The only renderer that plays back smooth(ish) is Overlay. I am using CoreAVC as the decoder and it puts very little strain on the CPU. However when I play the Girls clip which is 1080p60FPS in a MKV container it plays back smooth as silk. I do not understand this as both clips are 1080p60FPS. Yes I know the MP4 is a different codec and container but it decodes fine in overlay and CoreAVC plays it back seemingly OK. But when MadVR is the renderer it drops tons of frames. Why is it harder to render one 1080p60FPS clip then the other? BTW using DXVA with the 40mpbs 1080p60fps VC1 WMV clip from this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156660 I can play smoothly only with DXVA and Custom EVR but I get green corruption all over the place. Not related to MadVR but I find that odd nonetheless. I have an Nvidia GTX560 which should handle most video (emphasis on should). Also of note. Windows Media Player plays back Birds and that WMV clip perfectly. EDIT: Actually I can't get the Devil May Cry WMV to playback smoothly over than with EVR but then I get the green corruption. Haali renderer gives the clearest + smoothest (it does not give green corruption) but still lags somewhat compared to EVR or EVR CP. Last edited by oddball; 2nd May 2011 at 18:35. |
