Yes same thing, but I did more test and used FDSS2 and things now almost are okay. because picture stop for 1 second ( sound is running ) then it run, and the strange thing is synchronizing still right ( same problem happen with raw file ). Now if I use FDSS slow motion the bug occur, but picture run from the beginning, also if I try any HD mkv already downloaded everything seems okay. >fixed bitrate computing. On same situation bitrate could be negative. >fixed interlaced routines. Now using Yadif for Interlaced and TDeint for mixed progressive/interlaced >fixed (workaround) on detecting framerate from dgi files >fixed use of HQ Deint in preview >fixed application of decimate/film when input file is d2v/dgi >fixed copy audio when input file is a d2v/dgi >fixed double framerate for HQ Deint >added check for FILM % reported in dgi file >fixed adding job after testing deinterlace (for mpeg2 source) >fixed deinterlace test for mpeg2 source >added support for dgi file for test deinterlace >added as input file DGI extension >added support for fastdegrain_mt and temporaldegrain >added support for file splitting (alpha) >fixed mispelling label of codec settings when loading custom configuration (2) >fixed removed automatic deinterlace >fixed mispelling label of codec settings when loading custom configuration >fixed Deinteralce test on dvd source >fixed nmt check. Tnx Buzz, great!
I noticed one strange thing though. It's not something major, but anyways... When saving settings to default profile (HDConvertToX.ini) everything was saved allright (I checked), BUT when opening HDC (new full package and also old ones!) audio settings are NOT restored as in default profile! Other settings are restored correctly. Strange is that if I later manualy load the same profile audio settings are loaded correctly too. Any idea what could be problem? |

When I use VBR for audio with Nero's encoder, the size of the audio is not being taken into account in the total MKV filesize. So while I have MDC set for 230 MB files, the encodes with ABR audio are 230 MB, but the VBR ones are 248 MB.

I hope I haven't missed something, but I can't get my default video settings to load automatically when HDC starts. Here are the settings in hdconverttox.ini:
Code:
Video Codec=X264 in MKV Video Quality=7 Encoding Mode=1 pass quality |

Did you save your profile with default name (HDConvertToX.ini)?
... because only that profile is automaticaly loaded when you start HDC. Everything works ok, except automaticaly loading audio settings (as I said few posts above). In my case HDC should set audio encoder to Nero AAC, 64kb/s - but it stays on MP3, 128kb/s |

I've seen posts about putting nVidia cards to work, but nothing about ATI. I have an ATI Radeon 4800 series card, is there any way I could use it to make encoding (talking specifically about HDConvertToX, don't want to use anything else ) faster? Or is it planned for the future maybe? I don't really know who it is up to do that, but I figured I ask here

Since audio is the first thing to get encoded, couldn't HDC get that final value after it's finished and recompute the video bitrate to match the requested final size? Also, I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but when I try to enter a filesize that starts with a "1" HDC freezes and then crashes. Like I'll type the 1, then everything stops, and the main HDC window just goes away. But if I type "75" and then add a "1" to the front it's okay. Is HDC crashing because it's trying to recompute the bitrate while I type? I always load and analyze the input file before I start setting options.

Hello, I've another question.
When I want to set up a queue of several different sources, I think things might go wrong with the analyses. When I analyse first file, everything goes into 'analysis' folder, including movie.d2v file. And when I analyse the second source for interlacing, I assume it overwrites the 'movie.d2v' file (since there are no "job1" or "job2" folders in "analysis" folder). Then the first source is left with the analysis of the second source, as there is a command line in the queue for the first source "copy *****movie.d2v****". Now, I've no idea what the "movie.d2v" file is for, but I'm not sure this is right. |

The d2v file lists info about what VOB files make up a movie, aspect ratio, frame rate and the analysis of source type. It's done so you have this information to use for the settings you choose for cropping, etc, when you set up the job for HDC's queue.
I'm pretty sure this analysis gets done again at the start of the job run. So it doesn't matter if the d2v file is a different one when you start the queue, because those files will get overwritten anyway when the job comes up with ones that pertain to the job you're about to run, and then all the work files get created in the "job#" folder.

@Buzz:
I just started something new this morning, and I'm looking at deinterlacing issues. Source is NTSC, interlaced. When I did a quick test encoding with the regular "Interlaced" setting I didn't see anything weird, but then I did the final encode with the "Interlaced HQ" setting now I'm seeing what looks like very clear Telecine artifacts (three frames normal, two combed). Do I have to use both InterlacedHQ and Telecined to get the corrected frames now?

@Queelis
you are right. it could be a mess the problem arise only when users works with test deint and compression test before add to queue it's fixed. redownload hdc @nx6 use only a FILM deinterlace or try the "Mixed interlaced/telecine" try the preview button. you can check results before encoding BHH
