ANSI Text to .SRT

Hi all,

This is my first post. I read many post looking for answers, but nothing seems to work. I am trying to add subtitles into music videos. All my lyrics are in Notepad (which is a .txt file)
or in Mircosoft WORD format. I'm trying to learn German by adding German subitles to German music videos. I use Subtitle Workshop & Virtualdub. Subtitle Workshop won't open up a .txt file, thus i have to copy each line into Subtitle Workshop. This does work. I do have the german lyrics on the video & it plays just find. It took me about an hour or 2 to get the subtitles into the video. ANYWAY, i figured there's got to be an easier faster way to do this. Is there a way i can convert the notepad .TXT files or WORD files to .SRT or .SSA Format?

Hi!

Both .SRT and .SSA subtitle files are also text files. Open an .SRT or .SSA file to see the format and, in the case of .SSA, the header as well...

I've been searching on the web & i found this converter that converts alot of different formats. It still hasn't solved my problem, but it's still pretty cool. Thought you'd all like to try it out. 2 Programs. you can download either one.
