No, I have no problem with TrueHD tracks if they are decoded to PCM, those work perfectly. Also have never had any problem with any flavor of DTS (DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-MA). There are some TrueHD tracks that seem to work, but most give distorted audio. The distortion varies, and there are portions of the audio where you probably can't tell at first listen, and then there are sections where there is obviously something wrong. I use the Iron Man BD to test this. The very first scene is majorly affected - the dialogue/discussion in the jeep at the very start of the film is barely audible under the eac3to.exe demux/TSMuxer remux scenario. However, I have indeed finally solved this problem. It is indeed eac3to.exe's issue, and the root of the problem is the removal of dialogue normalization. Eac3to removes dialogue normalization by default. When it does that, the sound is distorted when played through my Pioneer receiver. Adding "-keepdialnorm" on the eac3to.exe command line has completely fixed the problem. I've tried my particularly problematic TrueHD track (Iron Man) which was very obviously distorted when played back after a demux with eac3to.exe and a remux with TSMuxer. The TrueHD track now plays perfectly and identically to the original when the -keepdialnorm option is used during the eac3to.exe demux. This must be something particular to Pioneer receivers, evidently they pay very close attention to the dialogue normalization metadata and get confused if the values are incorrect, missing, etc.

When I use eac3to to demux evo-Containers with the -demux switch, eac3to demuxes not all the streams (especially subtitles with ID: 28 and up).
Is there a way to fix this or can I demux multiple streams at once WITHOUT converting them? |

DTS 7.1 to LPCM
After ready through some of the posts on talking about TMT 2 and 3 to use for converting DTS 7.1 to LPCM 7.1 it sounds like if I don't have TMT 2 I cannot use TMT 3 to do the convertion? If that is the case does anyone know where I can get a copy (buy) of TMT 2? Thank you

Hey madshi and folks,
Is there a way to split an MLP file with eac3to if you have a cue sheet or somehow just typing in where (in time/samples etc) to split the audio file? Thanks very much...Haven't used eac3to in a while - I can only imagine all the excellent new features since the last time I updated it! |

One of the FLAC encoder's callbacks returned a fatal error.
Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong here.

Maybe eac3to try to encode a 6.1 flac but the decoder output (libav) is only 5.1
Try to decode first: "C:\VID2EVA\tools\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "F:\BDMV\STREAM" 1) 3: "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.wav" and encode to flac after: "C:\VID2EVA\tools\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.wav" "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.flac" But if you don't have the ArcSoft decoder you can't decode the DTS-MA and use flac like output is not necesary, you can convert the wav output to ac3: "C:\VID2EVA\tools\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.wav" "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.ac3" or extract the core DTS-ES, 6.1 "C:\VID2EVA\tools\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "F:\BDMV\STREAM" 1) 3: "Z:\VIDEOS\Vid2eva.dts" -core
