Decoding Raw Capture

There are now more modern ways to do this, when quality really counts.
There's an opensource hardware gadget which digitizes the raw signal, and software to decode it.
So far, this is DIY, but there's some interest in putting together kits or premade units. However, even in that case, you need to connect 2 wires to a specific point in your unit, which you have to identify.

There are other ways, using specific Linux drivers for capture cards based on the Conexant cx2388x video decoder chip.
