Colorspace always set to RGB32 with VirtualVCR

This has been bugging me for awhile now and I can't understand why this is happening?

If I use VirtualVCR with FFDSHOW (MJPEG) and set colorspace in VirtualVCR to "YUY2", the AVI has colorspace is "RGB" everytime. If I capture uncompressed then AVI it's YUY2!

Even if I force "YUY2" in FFDSHOW that same thing happens, AVI has colorspace "RGB". I have tried that couple of versions of FFDSHOW and the dame thing happenns. Is there a problem with FFDSHOW?

Can anyone give some hints on how I can get round this problem? Thanks
