questions on "convert to wav" in dgindex

what decoder does dgindex use to convert the ac3 stream of a .vob file to a .wav file?

is "pre-scale decision" equivalent to besweet's pregain function?

The decoder is derived from ac3dec, a free Dolby AC-3 stream decoder by Aaron Holtzman.

The prescale decision is described in the DGIndex user manual. I don't know about besweet, so I can't directly answer your question.
