Version 1.0.2

1. Added support for the new audio types found on BluRay disks.

2. Improved the audio delay calculation.

3. Fixed incorrect handling of field-interlaced streams.

4. Machine ID now not tied to system partition, so machine ID changes will be rare.

5. Updated the CUVID Server to 1.0.3.

Well, functionality wise, perhaps not. But you'd be amazed how much coding and testing went into this new version.

What are the client/server supposed to do?

When I run the server, then start the client and open the jessejames.clip.m2ts from the 2nd post in this thread, nothing happens. The client window is blank and clicking the reset or step commands doesn't do anything either.

The server runs and shows up in the menubar, and is using the nvcuvid.dll successfully.

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

First, the client supports only elementary streams, not transport streams. Second, the client is compiled for AVC clips. You have to rebuild it for VC1. I'll add an option for VC1 and release that today. Third, the first frame of that clip is a black frame!

EDIT: New version of the CUVID Client is uploaded.

Both of your NV tools succesfully extracts BD audio files:

The question;
is it technically possible of DG to extract embedded ac3 (together with thd) or core dts (core of dts-hd) as well?

He's talking about downconverting the audio - instead of demuxing the full HD audio track data, to allow the standard AC3 (Blu-ray TrueHD) core or standard DTS (DTS-HD) core to be taken out from the audio data (as you can do with TSREMUX/TSMUXER/EAC3TO etc). It would certainly be a useful feature.

Cheers,

-jj-

I don't see why an indexing application should offer anything more than simple audio demuxing... eac3to can do audio conversions perfectly. Neuron2 can focus on other things.

My friend,
madshi always suggests to figure out things in one step using just one application; remember?
So why do i use eac3to as a second application

It was just a feature request.

No, i don't remember madshi saying that. He told you to use only eac3to to do a very specific thing you wanted to do, and not any other app.

But anyway... I just expressed my opinion, not hurt feelings. Why asking neuron2 for a feature that another tool can do with enormous success? You can ask him for something that can't be done with any other freeware tool. E.g add .mkv reading support in his apps.

I don't wanna go off the topic but let me remind you:
eac3to > raw media extraction + MkvMergeGui > remuxing to mkv.
(instead of those two applications, madshi insists on using one application: eac3to, correct?)
If eac3to is functioning as a remuxer (-using haali) as well why do you querry?
BTW this is not eac3to topic.

It seems you never get what i say... Are my English bad?

I remember exactly what madshi suggested YOU SHOULD DO IN YOUR SPECIFIC CASE. But he NEVER said that GENERALLY one should use one app instead of 2 or more, LIKE YOU IMPLIED.

I said that there are alternatives and very good ones to do audio conversions and that it doesn't worth the effort/time to implement such features here.

Then you began talking about how you did your mkv muxes. So, you're off topic here, i just said my opinion about a feature request.

I'm out of here now.

I don't see anything wrong with asking for the demuxing to extract core audio if possible. I'll look into it, just as I am looking into supporting MKV. I'm open to any and all feature requests and appreciate all feedback.
