Just discovered/tested this software, but seems that don't fit my needs.

Dunno if anyone else could be interested in this, but I decided to switch to Vorbis/MKV for CD-Images with embedded cuesheets.

It will be possible to use UsEac3to for this purpose ?

Many thanks tebasuna51.

Decoding the HD audio element works a treat now

Please explain your sources and destination formats.

UsEac3to in only a GUI for eac3to (and some Auxiliary Tools).

Update (only the GUI): UsEac3to 0.7.42

With mkv's generated with defaults in new versions of MkvMerge, from 4.1.0, the audio tracks (AC3, DTS, MP3 and MP2) can't be managed correctly with eac3to (header compression problem).
Same problem (eac3to now crash) with video track H264, from v4.2.0.

Changes:
- The button 'Run and MkvMux' use now --compression -1:none, all tracks muxed without compression.
- New option in 'MkvExtract/Mux' to remux the problematic mkv input without compression (now compatible with eac3to, tsmuxer, WD TV, ...)

I am trying to use it with a user defined output path but it always forget to ask me where I want the output files. Ideas?

Use 'Settings' -> 'Output folder' before.

Couldn't be easier to ask for a destination folder when custom option is selected?

Is easy to implement but uncomfortable to use in my opinion.
You have the source, make you your own version.

New UsEac3to v0.8

Changes v0.8 2010-11-29

- Now 'Output format' only show eac3to extract/convert allowed options for 'Track Input'
If show 'A.Tools' only 'Auxiliary Tools' can manage track/file.
Examples:
Xvid in mkv can be extracted with 'MkvExtract'
Vobsub in mkv also can be extracted with 'MkvExtract'
.ogg, .m4a, ... can be decoded with 'Decode ogg/mpx' (external decoders needed).
.srt, .ssa, .ass subs and .xml, .txt chapters can be delayed and/or stretched with 'SRT/.../TXT'.

- Better support for .mpls.
Automatically feature 1) added.

Is there any chance for, that UsEac3to, could take the file format *.m2ts, so we could rip the original subtitles out in the format (*.srt or *.ass) ?

Best regards

To convert SUP subtitles (from m2ts) to SRT you need suprip (or other), UsEac3to can't do the job.

I can not convert AAC files to AC3 files, as your GUI as it says "Nero Audio Decoder 2 instance failed."

Since I will not have Nero installed, so I downloaded this zip file "NeroAACCodec-1.5.1.zip" from here: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-ne...-aac-codec.php

And copied exe files into the folder of your GUI and eac3to.

I hope you or someone else can help me.

NeroAacDec.exe (from NeroAACCodec-1.5.1.zip) can decode AAC audio inside MP4 container (.mp4 or .m4a).

To decode AAC audio with ADTS headers (.aac) you need Faad.exe (http://www.rarewares.org/)

Use 'Decode ogg/mpx' to obtain a wav file and after recode to ac3.
