TMPGEnc - No Audio
To All,
I apologize if this has been answered before, but I didn't find it. I have an AVI file that I want to convert to MPG. I generally use TMPGEnc for such conversions - works well (but I am open to suggestions for other S/W) Anyway, for the AVI in question, TMPGEnc doesn't recognize the audio, yet WMP plays it fine. When I open the AVI in GSPOT it tells me: Audio Format Stream / Codec 1> / 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3 Status: Codec IS Installed Bitrate: 126 kb/s (63/ch x 2 ch) VBR LAME3.90.° (Don't know if the following helps or not) DirectShow Render Source: MEDIASUBTYPE_Avi Video Media: 4cc: XVID Audio Media: WAVE_FORMAT_MPEGLAYER3 (MP3) (0x0055) Splitter/Other: AVI Splitter Video Codec: ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder Audio Codec: MPEG Layer-3 Decoder I'm running TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. Is there a version that will make this work? Is there some other codec I need? Perhaps some different S/W? Another tidbid: GraphEdit renders it perfectly. Are there any filters that can be inserted to rebuild output as an MPG? Or, if necessary, capture the audio (WAV dest, etc.) and then merge the audio and video AND keep them in sync. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Jim |
