don't ask me things like this. and not in this thread.

there are other reasons than ordered chapter not chapter btw. but i don't know the full list.

i wouldn't be shocked if you need lav splitter for ordered chapter support.

so just add all 4 as preferred external filter and everything is alright.

Well, i'm not skilled in this, so, i'm in wrong section?
What 4 are you talkin about? There is lav audio, lav video, lav splitter. You talking about h.264 mvc 3d decoder?

And i'm using all this stuff in x64 version, it's a lot of time i don't use it so i don't remember if i can use madvr and lav x86 on mpc-be x64 togheter. Know it's noob question

lav splitter source is the 4th

you can't use a x86 filter with a x64 filter

just use all 64 bit it is faster anyway.
and there is no reason to not install 32 bit and 64 bit at the same time.
guides these days...

this is the madVR thread so it is about madVR not decoder stuff.

I have found a bug in the latest windows 10 cumulative update (at least for x64) that cause madVR to stop working correctly with JRiver MC22. The update is KB3200970. I uninstalled it and everything is working fine again. Also it causes some strange things with video related things, for example some games started giving errors at start and stop working. It also happened to a friend. I recommend for now blocking the update if you have not installed it and wait for the next cumulative.

To hold you over, here's another little teaser. First some words about performance:

There will be several quality/speed levels. NG1 "low" quality will probably have a similar speed to Jinc AR*) or super-xbr*). Or at least that's what I'm aiming at. I still need to test how much I can downscale the algorithm before quality breaks down completely. NG1 "high" quality (which both teasers are made with) will probably have a similar speed to NNEDI3-64*).

Here's a photo comparison. Please note that in the NG1 image only the luma channel was upscaled with NG1. The chroma channel was upscaled with Bicubic60. Waifu2x doesn't make that compromise, which explains the difference in chroma quality:

original -- | -- Jinc AR -- | -- super-xbr 100 -- | -- NNEDI3 256 taps + SuperRes 4 -- | -- NG1 (wip) -- | -- waifu2x

Some of you guys didn't like the name "NG1". I'm open for other suggestions. Please feel free to post your ideas. If there's no suggestion that jumps out at me, I'll probably stick with "NG1", though.

I'm listening to your comments, but I'll reply to all old and new posts only after the new version is released.

*) without SuperRes
New algorithm looks fantastic! Very impressive to see anything surpass NNEDI3. I might try proposing a name for your new algorithm but I think I'd need to know more about exactly what it's doing to the image. I would like to suggest though that the name be distinctive. Doing a google search for "Next Generation" would produce an infinite number of entirely useless search results.

Thanks for your continued achievements!

It has an improvement, according to the changelog as followed,
http://www.windowscentral.com/micros...00970-14393447
named as: Improved the reliability of multimedia audio, Remote Desktop, and Internet Explorer 11, which may has something to do with the glitches fedpul have mentioned.

For the best results you should run all three LAV parts together.

@steakhutzeee and @strumf666, please ask LAV questions in the LAV thread, not here. Your questions are widely out of topic here.

Did someone try to play Samsung_HDR_Wonderland.ts? May provide screenshot as me?

Apologies, I was sure I am posting in the LAV thread, but apparently not.

Why not "madshi1, madshi2"?

Wow very impressive performance targets! I am looking forward to it, like everyone else here.

Not bad, if sort by timeso but, logically, if sort by quality so must be spaces between methods - may be in the future it will be necessary.

MNEDI, MEDI, NGEDI or perhaps just Mad upscale/r

~64 NNEDI3 64 neurons worth of hogging isn't very demanding. I'd totally be up for further improvements if possible with double this requirement.

EVR can't handle BT2020 it is using BT709 which results in wrong colors.
