Ummm, at first I tried to do an exact movie copy with an output of BD25, and when that didn't work then I did a "movie only" copy to see if it made any difference. It didn;t.

Thanks for the reply!

As for the audio error, I don't compress the HD audio. Whenever I tried to convert LPCM audio(as well as another type) I would receive same/similar error. So I just keep the HD audio now. Since X264 is so intelligent about compression, one can highly compress video, usually without noticing the difference. The only time I compress, is if I choose DVD output(Naturally). Or of course BD-5 or BD-9, or MKV/MP4.

Let's see the Inspect log???
Ok, so what option is that that I need to change? And where is the Inspect log? I see an option that says "Keep HD Audio for BD25 /Alternate intact". Is that the box I need to check?

OK, I checked the option that says "Keep HD Audio for BD25 /Alternate intact" and ripped it again, this time it seems to have worked perfectly. Funny, that option has never been checked that I know of, and I've never had problems before.

There shouldn't be a problem encoding the HD tracks. I simply don't like doing it myself, unless absolutely necessary. There are some BD's(Rare) that will benefit from the extra space. Inspect.exe is located in the bdrebuilder folder.

4 is as high as it goes for user encoding. Any others are meant for special testing.

Here are the results of my Inspect log:

- Windows Version: 6.1 [7601]
- AVISYNTH Version: [2.5.8.0], Ok
- HAALI Splitter: [1.9.42.1], Ok
- FFDSHOW: [3326], Ok
- WIN7 preferred AVC CODEC: Not Set correctly
- WIN7 preferred VC-1 CODEC: Not Set correctly
- WIN7 preferred MPEG2 CODEC: Not Set correctly
- FFDSHOW VC-1 set to "wmv9", Ok
- FFDSHOW MPEG2 set to "libmpeg2": Ok
- FFDSHOW AVC set to "libavcodec": Ok
- AnyDVD settings check: Ok.
- BD Rebuilder v0.42.0.4, Ok
- X264: Ok
- AFTEN: Ok
- FAAC: Ok
- MP4BOX: Ok
- WAVI: Ok
- TSMUXER: Ok

I just downloaded and installed ffdshow_rev3326_20100319_clsid.exe
then reran Inspect and that is now OK.

I've also read the first message in this thread and can't find a way to fix the issues with FFDShow not being configured correctly because it says I'm not running it as administrator. I've also run FF_RESET.bat but it opens a DOS command prompt window that says the path was not found and that I need to run it as administrator, but this is after right clicking FF_RESET and selecting "Run as administrator" so I don't know what I gotta do to set the environment variable so that the path can be found. Any help there would be appreciated.

Anybody know how to fix my incorrect CODEC preferences?

@D-Train61

Next time you run it, when the message is waiting for you to hit any key... don't hit a key. Go to the BD-Rebuider folder and look for a file called "FF_CONFIGURE.BAT". Open it with notepad and post the contents here.

It sounds like something in that BAT file has a bad path associated with it. If we look at the contents we may be able to see what it is.

Where did you install BD Rebuilder (what path did you use)?

2 audio tracks will not rebuild

Downloaded latest version 0.42.07 of BD Rebuilder Beta and ripped The Last Emperor. But 2 audio tracks refuse to rebuild. This is what is displayed when the movie files are loaded:

.

I double-clicked the 2 entires, and the red X was replaced by the same icon that shows the other audio tracks enabled. But when I add the project to the batch cue and click 'Batch' to start the process, I can click the 'Stream' tab and see the two audio tracks were disabled again.

I discovered this after I let the complete process to run, and found the director's commentary track for the main movie was not ripped.

Thoughts?

In the settings do you have it limited to only 1 audio track per language? And do you have Italian chosen as a language?

That seems to have fixed things. The 2 tracks are now shown enabled after changing those settings. I'll try building a new set a files. Thanks so much Adbear.

You have to be careful with audio tracks, especially in batch jobs. There are several actions that can force BD-RB to rescan the source (like changing a setting, editing the Config file, or browsing for a file) -- causing the audio selections to revert back to the defaults. If you wish to change the audio selections (from the default) for a batch job, you should make that change immediately before adding the job to the queue.

I think the bug is with the resizing:
It should be resized to 704 x 576p 25fps, AddBorders(8,0,8,0) => 720x576p 25fps / --fake-interlace / --sar 12:11

Perhaps you may look at it.
I'll check it out. I'm not sure where the 1280x720i is coming from??? It should simply convert it to 720x576. You don't have that box selected in SETUP to convert SD to 720p HD, do you?

[Edit] Ok. I found the error. It has been corrected for the next release.

hello
bug in blu-ray structure, perfectly reproduce the original files with ArcSoft TotalMedia 5 and PowerDVD 12 . I tried the blu-ray structure of 100% without doing anything, and the result is that the menu is locked and do not leave the contents of the menu: (

It sounds like something in that BAT file has a bad path associated with it. If we look at the contents we may be able to see what it is.

Where did you install BD Rebuilder (what path did you use)?

And I installed BD_Rebuilder right in the root of my home folder C:\Users\Inspiron\BD-RB\BD-Rebuilder
Note that the first letter of the name Inspiron has a funny initial letter Ì with a strange accent mark above it. Could this be a contributing factor? (I have no idea why this is named this way)
Thanks again for your help.

@D-Train61

I'm guessing the odd character is the culprit. Could you install in a different path (like C:\BD-RB\) and see if the issue goes away?

BD Rebuilder v0.42.08 (beta)

I have updated the first post of this thread with links to a new version of BD-RB (v0.42.08). Changes for this release:
Code:
- Changed the maximum value of the MULTIPROCESS
function from 16 to 32 for extremely high-end
  multi-core processors.
- Modified LAVF encodes to explicitly indicate the
  target framerate for X264.
- Corrected an error in which DVD_IMPORT_THRESHOLD
(see HIDDENOPTS.TXT) was calculated at twice its
intended value, and the default threshold was 30
minutes rather than the intended 15.
- Corrected an error in the IMPORT function where
importing a source that has a width of less than
720 pixels could cause a resize to 1280x720 and
an output stream that is not compliant.
- Made modifications so that non-compliant original
sources that use 480p or 576p are corrected into
compliancy during encoding (by using the X264
  --fake-interlaced switch).
- Added code to remove overscan when outputting to
  non-DVD ALTERNATE output formats.
- Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

It seems like somebody in this thread had a similar issue once upon a time. I generally just leave it in my downloads folder. That way when I update, everything is just right there
