Remove iTunes DRM Fair Play - Requiem replacement
I am looking for a suitable replacement for Requiem for iTunes. The project has been out of development since 2012 with the promise from Brahms to release the tools used to deconstruct iTunes to bypass the DRM scheme. Now 2014 there has been little information off the Tor forum from Brahms about the tool kit and no new releases since he told everybody on his forum that he was discontinuing development.
Any help would be appreciated.

LOL sorry I wasn't clear on that. I am looking for a directly similar product. Free, Open Source, and usable. I know Requiem project closed with the promise from the Developer that he would release the tool(s) he used to bypass the DRM in iTunes. Trouble is no one has heard anything on that and now the forum is offline. So I think now that a year and some months have passed, most likely its little more then vaporware.
Yes I have searched for alternatives and only found commercial crapware that re-encodes to remove the DRM of which I find to be annoying. So I am asking if anyone knows of a solution... Thank You

Unfortunately it does help, but very little. However the exact way to break into iTunes that was known in order to fish out the obfuscation methods used is gone with the last developer (eg Brahms). So for me or anyone else to take over where he left off would be like pulling teeth or at the very worst reinventing the wheel because he took the tools with him when he left.

However, if you still have an older version of iTunes installed, Requiem can still be used with old past purchases that have been downloaded before this security change. Last edited by Video Dude; 23rd April 2019 at 21:35. |
