AvsPmod, VirtualDub are not loading the DAA and DeHalo alpha filters

Recently I formatted and installed Windows 10 64-bit on my machine. While using AvsPmod I realized that the DAA and DeHalo alpha filters were not working in the preview of the program. The same thing happened with VirtualDub. I have already re-installed the filters and the programs I used including AviSynth itself, but it did not help.

Is any error message issued.
Can you check if problem is related to this here:- https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.p...09#post1872609
Do you have all CPP runtimes installed.

Check out Groucho2004 AvsMeter and Avs Information tool.
Code:
AvsMeter avsinfo

I don't think this related problem is similar to mine.
These are all the C++ versions installed on my computer.
Here goes images I took after running the command in AvsMeter.

I'm waiting for answers

Maybe cpp 2015 fixes.

Code:
Can dump aWarpsharp.dll (depricated), aWarpsharp2.dll is current (requires runtimes 2015).

Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 Combined redistributable
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Best remove (put in backup somewhere)
 v2.58
    mt_masktools2.dll
    mvtools2.dll (Get v2.60 dll)
    RemoveGrainS.dll (mostly replaced with v2.60 RGTools.dll)

Uncatogorised files, get rid of ALL.
In future, from command line,
Avsmeter avsinfo

via
menu/Edit/Select All/
menu/Edit/Copy/
And paste in text editor

OR

AvsMeter avsinfo -log

And post the result text/log file rather than post images.

You may also need some non avs dll's in SysWOW64 (may not be a problem yet but may be at some point)

Code:
fftw3.dll
libfftw3f-3.dll
AvsRecursion.dll
libsndfile-1.dll
EDIT: Vdub2 (dump vdub std) should produce an error message if script fails.

Still problem ? What error message from VDub2 ? [if no message, then what exactly happens]

EDIT:
If still problems, make temp folder, move all plugins to temp, excepting plugins required for ONE OF the problem script functions.

Make test script using ONLY call to problem script function (no other unrelated processing, we are trying to isolate the problem).
What happens.

Do the same with the other problem script function, only necessary plugins in the plugins directory.
What happens.

It is possible that one of the plugins is bad, and may continue to be problem until isolated and removed.

If both tests are no problem, then move a single dll from temp into plugins and retest, and repeat.
When is problem, then that is problem dll, discard and find another.

I got the following error:

Avisynth open failure:
Script error: there is no function named "mt_makediff"
(daa.avsi, line 4)

You need masktools2.

After I reinstalled the masktools 2 plugin, I put the other plugins (except DAA and DeHalo alpha) into a folder I created. Then I dumped the script on Vdub2 and then a window appeared (similar to the command prompt that closed very fast) that read: "Avisynth detected. Extended error handling enabled." Other than that the problem still persists.

I don't know if it can help but I took a print from the AvsPmod window. Before I installed Windows 10, I remember that where there was written daa () and DeHalo_Alpha () in AvsPmod there were colors (like DirectShowSource that is written in blue), so the font of the respective filters was colored (what does not happen in print). I imagine the cause of this is related to the problem we are dealing with.

This would indicate that the plugins you intend to call are not in plugins folder, so not loaded.

This is impossible. I always put the plugins in the plugins folder. Here is a print of the plugins folder.

If you don't add DAA() to 'filterdb.dat' you won't get syntax colouring or a parameter list. 'DeHalo_Alpha()' is already in the database.

Ok, just set up for Daa() and Delhalo_Alpha() on my Windows 10 64 bit Tablet/Laptop thing. Works, no probs at all (I'de never used either script function before).

Non AVS dll's that I set up (not required for this).
Code:
SysWOW64
    AvsRecursion.dll # Req: MSVCR71.DLL ( https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/the-program-cant-start-because-msvcr71dll-is/eb71c22f-9fd3-45f8-8308-aee52ca1746e )
    fftw3.dll
    libfftw3f-3.dll
    libsndfile-1.dll
MSVCR71.DLL = Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime for VS 2003.

TestScript.avs
Code:
AviSource("D:\Parade.avi")
Daa
Dehalo_alpha
No problems at all.

I assume that your clip will load into eg VDub2 with only the source filter used, ie no other Daa or Dehalo_alpha stuff.

I think we did it. The problematic filters are working now. However, I am creating a script for a specific video but this time the problem continues, which leads me to believe that there is some wrong thing with the video I referred to.

The video information I mentioned is just below.

I dont know if your source filter (think was dss2) will open WMV with VC-1 ok.

I personally would not mess with ffmpeg/Lsmash to figure out what would work,
me prefers use below with awkward stuff.

SomethingOrOther.bat
Code:
REM We DO NOT LIKE SPACES IN FILE NAMES (REM == REMark ie comment)

setlocal

REM Where to Find ffmpeg
set FFMPEG="C:\BIN\ffmpeg.exe"

REM Where to get input file, No terminating Backslash, "." = current directory (ie same as dir .bat file)
set INDIR="."

REM Where to place output file, No terminating Backslash. "." would be same as .bat file
set OUTDIR="D:"

REM Below, can add extension as eg *.WMV (SPACE separated)
FOR %%A IN (*.mp4 *.vob *.mpg *.TS) DO (

REM ****** Un-REM ONLY one of below lines *******.
REM %FFMPEG% -i "%INDIR%\%%A" -vcodec copy -acodec copy "%OUTDIR%\%%~nxA.MKV"
REM %FFMPEG% -i "%INDIR%\%%A" -vcodec utvideo -acodec copy "%OUTDIR%\%%~nxA.MKV"
 %FFMPEG% -i "%INDIR%\%%A" -vcodec utvideo -acodec pcm_s16le "%OUTDIR%\%%~nxA.AVI"
REM *********************************************.

)

REM ... Above UN-REM'ed lines :
REM (1) Remux, copy both video and audio (output MKV).
REM (2) UtVideo lossless video, copy audio (output MKV).
REM (3) UtVideo lossless video, PCM audio (output AVI).

Pause
EDIT: Note you will need to add *.WMV as mentioned in above demo bat.
EDIT: Requires UT_Video codec.
