Is there anyone that got 3D working with Blu-Ray folder structure? I'm not sure how to playback 3D with the subtitle 3D depth metadata intact.

I tried opening .index, the proper playlist and the .ssif file, MadVR simply goes to 2D no matter what, only 3D mkvs are detected.

yes, tried nightly as well. latest madvr version.
Standard blu-ray structure, .index bugged so i opened correct .mpls which works or the largest .ssif but they're not 3D.

xysub isn't updated for a while though.

FSE Failure

Can somebody help me troubleshoot:

While watching video in conjunction of video trancoding in the background using knlmeans filter, I get FSE failure right after it finishes encoding

KNLmean uses Opencl and so do some feature of madvr, i think. Or maybe some rendering options found in madvr may be in conflict

What do you think?

Thanks

some madvr setting can put any current gpu to its knee without even trying. The only thing you can do is lower/remove some of the setting.

How do I skip to a specific frame with MPC-HC and madVR? I need to be able to change settings and view the same frame in D3D11 FullScreen mode so show comparison between some settings, but I can't figure out how to make it happen. Even if I could isolate a frame, I would need to make sure the FullScreen is in D3D11 Exclusive mode and often times this mode doesn't kick in until playback has actually started. What is the best way to take screenshots of madVR-rendered images? Its so retarded. I used Google to find a ton of sites that say madVR screenshot-taking is now supported, but not a damn single site says HOW.

Also, 3DLUT's don't apply to Image Files... Why not? When I load an image in MPC-HC, a few seconds later it disappears. Sometimes image files do not load at all... If I pause MPC-HC during image vieiwng, the picture also disappears and I get a black screen.

EDIT: Pressing CTRL+J while viewing an image doesn't remove the OSD Menu on the left side... Image-related stuff is very broken... Film playback works fine though.

Right click -> Navigate -> Go To... and set the desired frame in the bottom box. Note that the frame number in that box may not be the frame you paused on - if you click Go! without changing anything the image might shift around a bit. But navigating to a specific frame in this way should always put you at the right place.

Hello.

What should i do to remove the green artifacts when playing the file below? everything else works just fine

MPEG-4 AVC Video / 27989 kbps / 1080i / 25fps / 16:9 / High Profile 4.1

Any advice would be really appreciated, is it because of DXVA-Copy playback?

Your settings are too aggressive, for one thing. Your present queue is not filling and you are above the movie frame interval.

to aggressive setting shouldn't do things like that.

Isn't that an artifact of NNEDI3? This is obviously a bug, but does this happen when super-xbr is used instead?

Can someone tell me where super-xbr ranks in ringing artifacts after the latest updates (without anti-bloating)? It appears improved but by how much?

there is clearly something not work as it should. but to aggressive setting isn't the issue that should trigger this.
if this is a bug in madVR which I personally doubt it should be fixed regardless if these settings can't be used in real time.

and I wouldn't be sure if this is nnedi.
i guess it is a decoding issue.

That looks like classic DXVA decoding errors to me...

Turn off NNEDI3 for image doubling and use superxbr 100 or superxbr antibloat 25. I'm pretty sure your video card is maxed out and cannot handle doubling with NNEDI3.

I reinstalled nvidia driver 364.72 and the problem seems to have resolved itself.

Hi,

For those who are using Nvidia graphic cards, what are the (Nvidia OSD) settings to be disable when using MadVr ?
For exemple I get smooth playback when disabling Vsync on Nvidia settings, DSR must be disable too,...

Other point, MadVr OSD says (10 bits ouptut, that's what I want), how to be sure that Nvidia does not downscale it to 8 bits ?
On the Nvidia control panel, the desktop output is set to 2160p59 - RGB 444 (8bits).
10 bits outptut is only possible for RGB 422.
But I think it's about desktop resolution only, right ?

Must we have to force RGB 444 in the Nvidia control panel or do we have to let Madvr to manage this (I mean for video playback, not for desktop resolution)?

PS: My graphic card is a GTX970 / My display is a UHD TV (10 bits / HDR / HDCP 2.2)

regards.

I am a newbie.
Tried to output 10-bit by using madVR as it is described here:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172128

My config is:
- Z170-A (Intel HD Graphics 530);
- Win7x64
- madVR v0.90.17;
- latest MPC-HC;
- Panasonic PR65VT60 (not calibrated professionally).

I am not gonna describe things regarding 10-bit output since there is a special thread for this.
But I found this rather strange behavior:
1) First I made these settings for 10-bit output (acc. to the thread mentioned above):
display->properties->10bit
display->calibration->disable & disable GPU gamma ramp.
rendering-> general-> Direct3D 11 ON
rendering->dithering->none
rendering->general->automatic exclusive fullscreen mode (FSE)-> on

2) Opened some video in the pleer.
3) There is a text in madVR OSD "fullscreen exclusive (10 bit)".
4) If I leave fullscreen with "Alt-Enter" and go to fullscreen again, then in madVR OSD there is a text "fullscreen exclusive (8 bit)".
Why it is not "10 bit"?
