Good grief! Do banks even keep that much money around??? I think you'd have to overthow a small government to pay for something like this.

Note that the price doesn't include the lens...

Yeah - you'd think for a quarter million dollars, they'd include the lens.

Wow. Sony makes a projector that does 1920x1080p using 3 LCOS for only about $30k. That JVC is 50% more resolution for 8x the price. I think the Sony would be good enough for me. Oh, and the Sony included a lens, although a replacement was still several $k.

Personally I don't think the spec is all that good.

A "4:3" resolution of 2048x1536 is okay but I would have preferred "16:9" resolutions myself!

And why is an SDI input module an "optional" item. And all the other inputs "analogue"?

Cheers

erm dunn0 if anyone interested but Sony's HS51 is also ground breaking specially in terms of contrast.

edit: SeeMoreDigital, can you give a good reason for 16:9?
I have a 16:9 beamer, but a friend of mine who is about to get one just doesnt seem to see the advantages of a 16:9 format.
Maybe you can gimme some more reasons to convince him.
