SubRip problems loading videofiles

How does one get Subrip to work? It keeps complaining that Avisynth can't open the video. I tried different Video's, Different Windows versions. Installing Avisynth Seperatly. even reinstalling codecs. Nothing seems to work for me. i'm currently trying to get it to run on Win8.1 x64

Anyone able to tell me what the prerequisites for Subrip are? Or how their installation experience was installing Subrip?

I don't know where you seem to think Avisynth comes into play but if you simply want to OCR bitmap subs to SRT, use Tappen's DVD Subextractor which is far better than Subrip.

Your question is like "I tried my screwdriver model Walmart #2345 on my car but it (the car) still displays "Fuel empty". What to do?"

What kind of videos do you have? Because it may be another way to get the subtitles out of there, like by simple demuxing

The file format is MP4
The codec is x264

Judging from the pause there is no way to OCR subs from an mp4?

Pick up your choice from here

A nice guide is here -> http://www.wxfs.org/guides/HowtoRipt...ubDetector.pdf

But I am sure you could have done this yourself
