Subtitles and Chapters

Hello everybody,
my problem is to have the possibility of choosing subtitles and chapters on my stand-alone player:

by using VCDImager for creating a CD image I can choose subtitles but no chapters and by using VCDXBuild I can choose chapters but no subtitles on my stand-alone player (United 3151).

Now my question is if it is possible to have both, subtitles and chapters, on the SVCD by using either VCDImager or VCDXBuild (I would prefer VCDXBuild because of the pictures that can be included).

By the way I`m using ver. 1.0.7 build 4 and Nero 5.5.7.6.
Thanks for your help ... Thomas

1. go to cd image menu.
2. with both yes look to the bottom right corner in the picture
3. there are two buttons there see
4. the first button is for fixed chaperts 5 mins ( wjatever tou whant )
5. the second one for dvd chapters
6. yes you can have both in the svcd ( if your reader supports it )

7. please also read the guide in http://www.doom9.net or in www.notrace.dk it might help you

Aha, that is what you meant by options. But how to get chapters on an SVCD is not the problem.
My problem is that whenever I use VCDXBuild for creating a CD image then the subtitles are not available on my stand-alone player.
By using VCDImager the subtitles are o.k., but I have no chapters.
So how can I get both, subtitles and chapters together, available on my stand-alone player?

this totally sounds like a hardware dvd issue. PBC enabled you get chapters I assume but not subs. So you could try hitting '1' on your keypad instead of play to not enable PBC and perhaps be allowed to choose subs. No idea though if it'll work.

You can go here http://www.vcdhelp.com/ and make sure your dvd player will play subtitles If it dosent or is limited in the way it plays them then you might try what Mrbass posted.
