Streaming from HDPVR?
I really appreciate all the development effort for MPC-HC. I use it quite a bit for recordings made from my Hauppauge HDPVR. The player provides excellent quality playback (with a bit of tuning, of course).
I noticed that the later versions of MPC have a "Capture" option. Is it possible to stream live directly from the Hauppauge HDPVR? Thanks. |

The monitor is a Samsung LA46A650 LCD TV. It changes it refresh rate depending on the input signal. I use it with both PC's (as per previously mentioned) and one PC has no problem producing 24Hz, the other is jerky.

shouldn't the refresh rate be 24hz for a 24Hz file to help eliminate judder though? I've tried EVR CR and EVR Sync, with and without D3D. Only D3D will give reasonably smooth playback for the 24Hz file on the HTPC. However, the other PC will happily produce 24Hz file using the EVR Sync (with fullscreen settings 23,50-24.00 -> 1980 x 1080 32bpp 24Hz). |

I used a batch script that reads media FPS from MediaInfo and change refresh rate by change CCC profiles accordingly, that worked fine until recently - MadVR becomes super laggy with dual monitor + Aero......
I'm guessing maybe it's cause by Aero preview feature introduced after r1420, I'll do more tests tonight and report back. Is there anyway to switch this feature off? Last edited by somy; 27th January 2010 at 11:54. |

It is felt that 23Hz in Win7 is native 23.987. I'll check it tonight. If this is true, then for content with 23.987 better set display mode with 23Hz. I'll change auto-change monitor mode in this case. Last edited by X-Dron; 27th January 2010 at 12:05. |
