a little help about MKV in ...
Hi guys
I searched the site for about 3 days, but no luck. So please be patient and read my post carefully I hope you would help me to solve my problem. Let me explain what I wanna do. I need to use a MKV file in any editing software (like Adobe Premiere or Edius) Now there are 3 ways to do it : 1 - converting MKV to AVI and then using the AVI file in premiere 2 - finding a plugin that allows premiere to import MKV in project 3 - Frame server. I mean using any software, that works fram server. (like D2V files creates by DVD2AVI) I don't have any idea how can I do any of them. But I tried MKV2AVI but there were 2 problems : a - It can't export 23.976 fps correctly. When I import in that framerate, the video is very bad b - As the video goes, the audio will be unsync. Can you help me guys? (I prefer to find a garunteed way to convert my MKV to AVI Thanks guys |

IMO a cleaner solution is to transcode the MKV to an AVI containing a keyframe codec like HuffYUV or Lagarith. Both these formats edit well in Premiere.
