How to upsize properly interlaced video ?
Are there any filters, scripts or methods to properly enlarge interlaced video material (from 680x512 to 720x576 for example) without conversion to progressive ( Bob, Deinterlace, DGBob and others) ? When I capture my old VHS tapes to DVD-VIDEO I alwys crop very noisy captured borders and next I add black borders to fit require DVD resolution. Sometimes borders are very wide and visible on TV. What can J do ? (sorry my bad english)

And if you scale each field by itself you'll mess up their vertical alignment, though not by much. np: David Sylvian - God's Monkey (Everything And Nothing)

Yeah, but your post has the re-interlacing part nailed down (as well as the other example code) - that's what I never quite can remember off the top of my head, so I leave it as a (search) exercise for the reader...
