AviSynth+ has an MT development branch. Their website is not as up-to-date about it as the ^ Wiki and their thread here, though.

AviSynth does not care much about your graphic card.

If at all, then GPU dependent plugins, like DGDecNV.

Also, "not working true" doesn't tell us very much.

What is considered the latest version? If I go here: http://avisynth.nl/index.php/Main_Page
The official version is AviSynth_110525. But, back in 2015, I snagged what appears to be a RC1 version (AviSynth_150114). It seems that there is also a 2.6.1 Alpha1 version available.

Which should I install?

BTW, I'm currently running 2.5.8.

Because the latest version of SEt's AviSynth MT is equivalent to 2.6.0 final, you should install AviSynth 2.6.0 final first. This installer contains matching default plugins and documentation.

Due to the ongoing development of AviSynth+ with a different and improved multi-threading model, though, I doubt about the future of SEt's MT versions...

There are two 2.6.0 exe files there. One with the 110525 date (which I have downloaded) and one with a 150419 date.

Now you see why I am confused.

I can't install the AviSynth+ version, as the BDRebuilder program does not support it.

In the SourceForge subdirectory I linked, I see only one AviSynth_260.exe (2015-04-19).

That was probably before April 2015. I guess your mentioned version was a long-lasting "Release Candidate" of v2.6.0, before it got "finalized" years later?! Long ago, I don't remember.

Anyway, because you replace the avisynth.dll, the functionality will be exchanged with it. So it does not really matter that much. Except for tiny changes which might be included in additional plugins.

Above that there is the line:
"Looking for the latest version? Download AviSynth_110525.exe (5.1 MB)"

Does SourceForge show us different links? May it depend on the SourceForge mirror server preferred for our different locations, or our login state?

I get AviSynth_260.exe recommended.

@MrVideo
In case of doubt and compatibility concerns with BD-RB just download Avisynth 2.6.0 from jdobbs' site, according to the first post in the BD-RB thread

Interesting. I'm not logged in, but it might be the location. Weird. You probably thought I was nuts and I thought you were blind, as it was right there in front of me.

Ya, there is that. Thinking about it, as I only use BDRB to author discs with MKV files that I provide, I seriously doubt that any version I install will matter.

Unless you install AVS+ when BD-RB will throw an error as soon as you launch it.

Oh, that will suck. Guess I won't. Wasn't planning on it though.

which OS are you running? 32 or 64 bit? If 64 bit, that particular avisynth.dll belongs in SysWoW64, not system32.

If you still have problems, run AVSMeter -avsinfo and see if it throws any errors.

Stupid me, you were right: sys64. I noticed i get an error with the removespots.avsi script (RemoveGrainT.dll seems to be the culprit) inside the plugins directory but once removed it's just fine.

Thank you Groucho
