Dub Error = File 64: The Parameter is Incorrect

Hi, I got this message when I tried to save a chunk from a movie (divx 3, audio mp3 cbr).
I believe is from the audio part because when I saved it with no sound I don't get the error.
But the movie itself runs fine no audio glitches and no badframes, I've checked with VDub1.3c.
So why the error and how to extract the sound from the movie (with "save wav" it gives the same error)?

I think that the problem is that VD cannot edit mp3's.
This should work: Open the file in VD and extract the WHOLE mp3 audio to a separate file and make sure that the extension says mp3. Use an external program (Audiotools or CoolEdit or something like that) to re-encode it as wav. Now choose full processing mode for audio in VD and use the wav audio option to load the wav. Choose your compression and interleaving as usual. Now you can select the part you want to cut out (and don't forget to start the new clip on a key frame.)

hakko504: It doens't matter with what extension you extract the sound!!! He always remain in the same format as encoded (ac3,wav,mp3...).

Anyway in my case it gives the same error. And I've tried with Nandub also.

But how to reencode it if I can not extract it in the first place?
And if I could then why would I want to reencode?
Remeber I said that the movie plays fine.
The only problem appeared when I've tried the things I described in the first post.
And is not a movie made by me so I don't have the "source material".

Sorry, the way you described it I thought that you only had tried to extract the part that you wanted to cut out. The only other thing I can think of is, that if it plays fine in WMP the you can probably use GraphEdit to extract the mp3 track and then nandub might work. Good luck.
