"gate weave" / "stretched film" fix for animation?
This is from the "new" remastered release of Willo the Wisp - an animated series from the early 1980s (this DVD is 2005 Silva Screen Records Ltd):
http://www.mediafire.com/file/2025ut..._3.demuxed.m2v Most of the DVD is better than that, but this particular episode suffers from an annoyingly bouncy picture. I'd like to completely stabilise the sections that should be completely still (but are currently slightly jumpy), while not changing the motion when there's a pan or zoom. I'm familiar with Deshaker, but so far I can't get the result I want - i.e. after correction there's still movement in the still parts, and unwanted compensation of the panning shots. Can anyone suggest good settings for Deshaker, or for one of the other deshaking tools? I've posted this intentionally in the AVIsynth section because I know there are deshakers for AVIsynth which I'd like to try, if appropriate. Cheers, David. That's brilliant for gate weave - thank you.
It can't help where the film is actually stretched subtly and you need different compensation for different parts of the frame, but I'm guessing any attempt to fix that is going to cause more problems than it solves? Cheers, David. |
