Again, sorry to play devil's advocate, but we (as beta testers) need a list of the log files jdobbs would have us post (and, if necessary, how to post them, as attachments or code text?); I think this would really help speed things up and nip the "Why won't you post your log files?!" posts in the bud. Over 550 pages of bug reports, and not many people would stick to reading every page, in order to glean this knowledge...

If you had done a search of this thread, you'd have seen that "jdobbs" (The author of BD Rebuilder) has stated that this is an error generated from within tsMuxeR - and could only be due to a bad rip.

In light of the fact that this is your first post, I'll ask you (To possibly save jdobbs some time):

Is your source material an original, commercial Blu-ray disc, or is it something else?

Wow, it's really back up and running! I must have clicked on Doom9 about a hundred times over the past few days and was beginning to think it was down for good. I tried to do one of my first BD25's and long story short, I ended up with an oversize twice. I did "How the West was Won", movie only, keeping the TrueHD english track and 3 subs. The movie runs about 164 minutes and my thinking was it was too big to compress down to BD9. The first attempt with a custom size of 24,600 mb ended up over about 500 mb. Next I tried the default of 24,500 mb and still was over just slightly and was able to get rid of the two spanish subs to get it down enough to fit. The first time it happened I tried all sorts of solutions to trim the m2ts, the movie starts with 4.40 minute musical overture that I could have lived without but I soon found out that triming a .m2ts with HD audio is really tricky. Everything I tried either converted to AC3 or completely garbled the sound. Oh well, it was a great learning experience. When I'm keeping HD audio on a 2 plus hour movie I will set a custom size of 24450 and perhaps it will fit.

@ jdobbs, thanks for the email, I knew Doom9 forum was down but it was nice knowing I could get the beta download in case BD_Rebuilder timed out.

the default size for BD-25 is 23500 MB.
Perhaps try the BD-25 preset, and my guess is you will not be disappointed.

Oops!, I don't know where I came up with my 24500, lol. I am amazed it was only oversized by 500 mb when I ran it the first time. It got close enough that cutting the prelude by 4.40 made it fit, but audio was trashed after triming it with tsMuxeR. I have only tried a couple of BD25's so I guess a few mistakes are going to happen. Thanks for the heads up.

FYI - In general most disc read errors occur near the outer edge. In life, try to stay away from the hairy edge and come in a few steps and everything will be fine.

I searched around and found others with same error message.

Has anyone tried making a backup of "The A-Team" ? It seems to fail at the very beginning at 14% doing movie only. I've checked to see if turning off the subtitles would resolve it and it still errors out to TSMUXER. Inspection was ok. Any help jdobb or anyone else would be appreciated.

I did the U.S. version of the A-Team (movie-only) with no issues.

If you are overclocked... that's probably it. It could also be a ripping issue. I used AnyDVD for the rip.

I'll try a re-rip now. I'm not overclocked and I to use AnyDVD (6.7.8.0).

A-Team 'movie only', Region B, backup without issues here.

BD Rebuilder only sees 26,485 frames in the source, but TSMUXER failed on frame 29,731... where did those other 3000 frames come from?

Is this a rip from an original disc?

I just did a full disc conversion of "Centurion" to BD9, using "Good" (Very fast) and "One-pass (CRF) settings - audio encoding options were left untouched, so that BD-RB performed a downconversion of the audio to 5.1AC3 640kbps.

While the original 7.1 DTS(MA) audio had (per tsMuxeR) an audio delay of 18,393ms, this delay disappeared somewhere in the downconversion, so that the playback was grossly (18+ seconds) out of synch.

The proof in the pudding was that using tsMuxeR to add a delay of 18,393ms to the primary audio of the main compressed .M2TS file eliminated the problem.

The reason for the original delay appears to be due to an initial rather mysterious SILENT 18 second static display regarding "Technicolor Services" and details of the video and audio formats.

Reminiscent, if I remember correctly, of the structure of, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". Back in September, in your post #9531, you stated:

My primary use of BD Rebuilder is to reduce the size of Blu-Ray disks in order to conserve disk space on my media player, a Popcorn Hour A210 with an internal hard drive.

Here is the problem that I'm encountering: A folder rip or ISO clone of an original Blu-ray plays perfectly on my media player, but there is something about the structure of a rebuilt Blu-ray that prevents the media player from playing it. More strangely, the rebuilt folders can be played by the media player across an SMB file share from my Windows 7 PC!

I realise that this is more likely to be a bug in the media player firmware than DB Rebuilder and I will report it as such on the apporpriate forum, but any theories would be appreciated.

AcePuppy Registered User Join Date: Aug 2010 Posts: 10	Has anyone tried making a backup of "The A-Team" ? It seems to fail at the very beginning at 14% doing movie only. I've checked to see if turning off the subtitles would resolve it and it still errors out to TSMUXER. Inspection was ok. Any help jdobb or anyone else would be appreciated.

ilancas Guest Posts: n/a	My primary use of BD Rebuilder is to reduce the size of Blu-Ray disks in order to conserve disk space on my media player, a Popcorn Hour A210 with an internal hard drive. Here is the problem that I'm encountering: A folder rip or ISO clone of an original Blu-ray plays perfectly on my media player, but there is something about the structure of a rebuilt Blu-ray that prevents the media player from playing it. More strangely, the rebuilt folders can be played by the media player across an SMB file share from my Windows 7 PC! I realise that this is more likely to be a bug in the media player firmware than DB Rebuilder and I will report it as such on the apporpriate forum, but any theories would be appreciated.
