Captured video and audio will not play
hi all
apologies if i have posted this in the wrong section as it seemed relevent here. My graduation ceromony was a webcast which while playing is downloaded as a temp file. I saved the full file but its a dat file and wont play in windvd / powerdvd / media player. Its my graduation and would be grateful if someone can either directly help me out or show me somewhere to go to get help. many thanks.... ps - is there a chance it is encrypted by windows or something as it is only downloaded in the temp directory untill its over then automatically deleted. thanks |

The easiest would be if you could get hold of the original file from the webmaster or whoever. If that's not an option, you could try whether Virtualdub can make some sense of your dat-file.
Congratulations on graduating.
