I'm a Noob around here so can i ask a really dumb question?
Is WMV-9 derived from M$ work on an MPEG-4 codec, or did they totally abbandon that. They still use stuff like DCT, i,p,b frames, motion compensation etc. right? |

seems m$ is trying hard to push their hd stuff as they next dvd forum meeting will probably show if it will be used in hd-dvd or not
tough anyways i am sure that the hd files/pseudo dvds available till now are surely not compatible with the to come hd-dvd format, its all about marketing till now btw if you want to check out some mpeg-4 (xvid) encoded hd files, have a look at this thread, seemoredigital made some nice samples, especially this one is great Quote:
