Subtitle still show even without dialogue

Hi There! I just finished my first encode of a movie in the .mp4format (using megui). I muxed the subtitle (Subrip) into the .mp4.

When I open it in VLC the subs are shown but when a dialogue is finished the sub of that dialogue remains on screen until next one starts. Meaning, if you have a long silence the sub will be there frozen.

Is there a fix for this??

Thanx

Include a emty subtitle which starts where the one before should end. That is what every other people do. Better Way: Use i right subtile format like ssa, usf, jacosub, ... .

Thanks i'll try that.
Funny thing is I openned the .mp4 movie loading the .srt file separatedely and it worked. No frozen subs. If I change to the sub muxed within the file it freezes again.
I checked the .srt file and subtitles timing where OK.

Is this a problem of VLC reading the muxed sub or a muxer bug??

Any clues?
